Distance Learning Library Services

As a UH system student, you have access to more than 3.5 million titles in the UH System Libraries. All UH students can borrow materials from all the UH libraries across the system.

You also have access to electronic books through the UH subscription to ProQuest Ebook Central, which provides access to over 120,000 online books. If you set up an account within Ebook Central, you will be able to add e-books to a virtual library shelf, to highlight text, and to take online notes.

You can search for books with the Basic Search or the Advanced Search options. All books, except for Reference, Rare, and some Hawaii-Pacific titles can be borrowed throughout the system. Look for the "Get this Item" link on the top right left. Log into your account, using your student ID number. Click on "Hold or Transfer this Item." Fill out the blue online form, then choose "Kauai CC" in the drop down box for "Pick up at."

To limit your search to electronic books, you can search the ProQuest Ebook Central database, or you can search the Voyager catalog, adding "electronic format" to your search terms.
