Avoiding Plagiarism

Plagiarism as defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, "is to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another as one's own) : use (another's production) without crediting the source : to commit literary theft : present new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source." 

Under UH System policy, plagiarism is considered to be academic dishonesty, violates the Student Conduct Code and may result in explusion from the University."
